New format plates are available for vehicles registered on or after the 1st of September 2001. You can choose the first two and last three letters, with the 'age identifier' being two fixed numbers relating to the age of your vehicle.

Eg. UK51 JON, GB52 HOT, OK03 XXX.

You cannot make your vehicle appear younger than it is, but you can choose an older style plate.

The letters I, Q and Z are not allowed in the first part, but Z is allowed in the second. Prices subject to £80 transfer fee, VAT and availability. Note: Names like JON, SUE, ROB, etc. command higher prices.
